America Online Help

America Online / Compuserve / Prodigy / Walmart Connect Help

Many of our users utilize America Online (AOL), Compuserve, Prodigy, Walmart Connect and other Internet Service Providers. These providers use proprietary web browsers that are not compatible with certain applications. However, there are simple ways for users of AHIMA.org to solve this problem. Below are solutions and tips designed to help make your visit to AHIMA's web resources more enjoyable.

Utilize Internet Explorer to Browse

AOL, Compuserve, Prodigy, Walmart Connect and other Internet Service Providers that use proprietary browsers sometimes have conflicts with displaying our web pages correctly, not allowing new windows to pop-up, and may affect log-in to certain areas of our sites. Therefore, we recommend that once you are successfully connected to America Online, Compuserve, Prodigy, or Walmart Connect, that you browse the Internet using Internet Explorer. This will allow you to browse our web resources (and the rest of the Internet) via full screen. To open Internet Explorer, locate the icon on either your desktop or Start Menu (for Windows computers).

Keeping Your Connection Alive

It's important to remember that after a set amount of time, AOL will automatically disconnect and you will lose your connection.
