Style: All classified ads are set solid with the lead phrase set in bold caps. No other type variations are permitted. No illustrations or borders.

Counting Words: Two initials are considered one word. Each abbreviation is considered one word, and figures consisting of a dollar sign and five numerals or less are considered one word. If you use a post office box, PO is one word, Box is one word, and the number of the box is one word. Cities and states consisting of two words ore more are considered one word: for example, New York and Salt Lake City. Zip Code is considered one word. When using Internet or e-mail addresses, these count as three words each. Telephone numbers with area codes are considered one word. There is no change for normal punctuation. When blind box service is requested for replies, the words Box [blank], c/o AHIMA classified are counted as three additional words.

Classified Headings: No special headings permitted. When no heading is requested, we will use our own judgment in classifying an ad, using the following headings: Consulting Services, Risk Management, Cancer Registrar, Auditing, Case Mix Management, Coding, Compliance, Data Analysis and Reporting, Education, HIM/Medical Record Management, HIPAA Compliance, Information Security, Medical Staff Services, Patient Accounts, Patient Advocacy, QA QI QM, Reimbursement, Release of Information, Staff Training, Transcription, UR Case Management, and Professional Opportunities.

Production Requirements: Ads must be submitted as: QuarkXpress 6.0 or lower; Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator CS or lower; or FreeHand 8 or lower saved in EPS or TIF format. Include all screen and printer fonts. The preferred ad format is Adobe Acrobat PDF/X-1a, with 133-line screen, 300 dpi, with all fonts and images embedded. Color images must be CMYK; fonts must be Postscript. Film will not be accepted. E-mail or mail ads in Macintosh electronic format on zip disk or CD.

Production Charge: The publication will pubset advertisements in most regular typefaces upon request. Typesetting fee is 10 percent of the one-time ad cost shown. Special requests will be billed to the advertiser or advertising agency at the then-prevailing rates. Minor copy changes for subsequent issues are made at no additional expense. When time permits, display ad proofs only are sent for approval prior to publication.

Issuance: Frequency is 10 issues per year. Mailing date: 22nd of each month. Copy changes and cancellations accepted only in writing and must be received on or before closing date of the scheduled issue(s).

Agency Commission: 15 percent of gross billing. Subject to withdrawal on accounts not paid within 30 days of invoice date. Pubset ads and production charges are non-commissionable.

Policies

  • Valley Forge Publishing Group (VFPG) reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertising for any reason, any time.
  • VFPG is not responsible for errors due to illegible copy.
  • VPG will not be responsible, nor will any credits be given, for advertising errors not reported after publication of the first issue.
  • All cancellations must be in writing and received prior to issue closing date.
  • Cancellations during any ad schedule will be short-rated.

Billing and Credit

  • Please make checks payable in US funds to VFPG. There will be a service charge for returned checks. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted.
  • Publisher reserves the right to hold advertiser liable for such monies as are due and payable to publisher.
  • Any advertising errors must be reported to VFPG upon the publication of the first issue in which the advertisement is scheduled to appear.
  • VFPG is not responsible for errors in camera-ready advertisements.
  • VFPG will not make adjustments for errors that do not materially affect the value of the advertisement.
  • The maximum liability VFPG will assume for any advertisement (production errors and the like) is the total amount paid by the advertiser or advertising agency for the ad.
  • Position requests are not accepted.
